Our Mission

Disability Action Center is a non-profit organization helping community members with disabilities to achieve and/or maintain their optimal level of self-reliance and independence. We can provide support services (eg. information, housing assistance, and provider referrals) and to eliminate barriers (physical, emotional, societal, etc.) to increase opportunities for participation in the community. DAC will also work to ensure provision of needed services, identified by persons with disabilities and other community members, while supporting consumers’ rights to live independently.

DAC serves northern California including: Colusa, Butte, Glenn, Tehama, Plumas, Shasta, Lassen, Siskiyou, and Modoc counties.

  1. Hi, I own a Domestic Referral agency that provides services to the elderly and disabled in Plumas and Lassen County. How do I add my agency to your referral list?

  2. I am a person with social and mental problems and have a problem with all ways being homeless cause I can’t afford housing and my personal needs is there anything u can help me with.

    • Tabitha– DAC provides a weekly housing list you can check. If you are fire-affected, please also register at campfirehousing.org to see if something is suitable for you. We have peer support groups that may also prove helpful. You can make an appointment with a Program Specialist at our Chico or Redding location for further answers to your questions.
