Peer Mentoring

We provide peer mentors who serve as role models and offer support in coping with day-to-day issues/problems and in social/personal behavior enhancement. If you are interested in receiving peer mentoring or becoming a peer mentor, please call one of our offices below to get more info.

Support Groups
SUPPORT GROUPS ARE VIA Zoom or In-Person.

Register below to attend a wide variety of support groups that Disability Action Center offers. You may register for either our Redding office or Chico office support groups no matter what office you frequent.

General I/L Support Group - Redding
In-Person Only - Registration Required
3rd Tuesday of every month 2 PM - 3 PM

Vision Support Group - Redding
In-Person Only - Registration Required
3rd Wednesday of every month 2 PM - 3 PM

1st & 3rd Thursday of every month 2 PM - 3 PM

Rainbow Support Group
In-Person (Redding Office) or VIA Zoom

2nd & 4th Wednesday of every month 10 AM - 12 PM

For anyone who identifies as LGBTQIA and who needs some extra support working through a disability whether new or old. Wouldn't it be nice to be around others like yourself without judgement? Get ideas that can help you or others!

Mobility Insecure Support Group
In-Person (Redding Office) or VIA Zoom
Registration Required
1st & 3rd Wednesday of every month 10 AM - 12 PM

For anyone who is having difficulty with mobility in their home and/or community. to come together to learn form each other and guest speakers.

TBI Support Group
Shasta,Tehama,Siskiyou,Lassen & Modoc Counties
VIA Zoom - Registration Required
3rd Thursday of every month 3:30 PM - 5 PM

TBI Support Group
Butte, Plumas & Glenn Counties
In-Person or VIA Zoom
2nd Friday of every month 4:00 PM - 5:30 PM
Enloe Conference Building at 1528 Esplanade in the Plane Tree Room, Chico.

Registration not necessary, however, by registering you can sign up to receive email or phone reminders.
