Office volunteer will perform general office duties, such as answering phone calls, filing, greeting consumers and assisting Program Specialists in service delivery.
Tabling at community events and assisting with presentations and support groups
Would you like to be a part of a great event?! Get involved while having fun at our annual fundraisers! Be a part of an event planning committee ! We now have events in the spring in Chico, and in the autumn in Redding.
NEWSLETTER & SOCIAL MEDIA
Research, take photographs, write articles for DAC newsletter, website and social media
Connecting with community and community partners, and perhaps provide support through Friendly Neighbor program.
Volunteers work alongside staff members in providing services and devices through the assistance technology and helping with some repairs and recycling through the Durable Medication Re-Use program.
Peer mentors will provide guidance and support to individuals with a disability. Our volunteers will engage in one-on-one meetings with consumers, under the direction of our Program Specialists.
Gardening Volunteers will plant seeds, care for the garden and harvest the crop, while learning important skills.
LOW VISION PROGRAM (OIB)
Volunteers work alongside vision program staff members, and depending upon qualifications conduct home visits, case studies, outreach, networking, phoning, and filing; working with vision impaired seniors.
