Take Action

If you are concerned about the federal tax bill that is very close to passing, if you disagree with massive tax cuts for the wealthiest Americans paid for by cutting programs that millions of Americans depend on – support programs that we have paid for with every paycheck from the day we started working, like Social Security, Medicare and Medi-Cal, contact Evan LeVang, Executive Director at (530) 893-8527 or by email at evan@actionctr.org, to learn how you can get involved in the fight to stop the greatest transfer of wealth in American history.

DAC’s Systems Change / Community Advocacy Program is currently in transition.  However, we will be re-launching on Monday, December 18th with renewed energy.  We look forward to building a new group of concerned citizens who will organize, collaborate and take action – ready to defend the civil rights of people with disabilities and the programs that enable us to live in our own homes and communities, like IHSS, Medi-Cal and SSI.  We will also continue to push for access and opportunity in the American workforce.  We want to reduce the unacceptably high unemployment rate for people with disabilities, so those with the desire to work – with or without reasonable accommodations – may not only acquire self-supporting employment but also find opportunities for advancement into leadership roles in all segments of society.

You – yes, you, specifically – can make a difference. Every voice counts. And, more importantly, every vote counts.  The worst thing we can do is to do nothing.  Join the fight for justice and equality with the Disability Action Center.
