Systems Change Coordinator
Prior to joining DAC, Forest Harlan worked for 20 years in the natural products industry. He also trained to become a computer network administrator prior to being diagnosed with an aggressive cancer in 2003. Surviving the disease and its treatments led to his inclusion in the category of being a person with a disability. Forest joined the staff at Disability Action Center in 2011 as its System Change Coordinator, a position which includes advocacy at the municipal, county and statewide levels. He is currently on several boards serving the interests of seniors and persons with disabilities.
He is active in the fight for civil liberties in healthcare, access to services, buildings and streets and maximum participation by disabled Americans in all areas of life.
