Independent Living (IL) Specialist Full-time (40 hr/wk) based in the DAC Redding Center. We are looking for strong writing and communication skills, well-organized, experienced with Microsoft Office Suite/365, solid data entry ability. Candidates require attention to detail, great customer service, and creativity; experience working with people with disabilities. Written/spoken fluency in Spanish or ASL a plus. Assistive Technology (AT)Advocate Full-time (40 hr/wk) based in the DAC Redding Center. Strong candidates show ability to collaborate with others; use low- to high-technology systems, tools and devices to support daily living; make recommendations for AT interventions and services, maintain accurate records, and ability to participate in building DAC program activities and meetings. The Older Individuals who are Blind (OIB) Specialist provides services, advocacy and support for and with consumers who have low vision and blindness. This position will facilitate and promote OIB program and related Assistive Technology (AT) equipment available to persons with low vision and blindness and develop and facilitate support groups pertaining to such within the community; plan, organize and execute at least one community event annually focused on consumers that are low vision and blind, partnering with other organizations as applicable.
