I have two big announcements …

First, after 35 years we are changing our name! On April 1st, Independent Living Services of Northern California (ILSNC) will be officially known as the DISABILITY ACTION CENTER. Secondly, our annual fundraiser, PiratePALOOZA, is changing location. You are cordially invited to join us on Friday, May 8, 2015, 6:00 at the Sierra Nevada Brewery’s “BIG ROOM” in Chico. All proceeds from our unique, swashbuckling pirate fest will support the Disability Action Center in our work assisting people with disabilities to live healthier, more fulfilling and dignified lives.

We are very excited that our 9th Annual PiratePALOOZA is moving to the legendary Sierra Nevada BIG ROOM! This world class venue features dinner by Sierra Nevada’s gourmet kitchen along with their full array of beers, ales and wines. Our raucous event will also feature live performers, music, dancing, comedy, games, prizes and a silent auction.

Tickets are $50 each ($45 each if purchased by March 31st!) and may be purchased online at http://piratepalooza.ticketleap.com/piratepalooza-2015/ Tickets may also be purchased by calling DAC at (530) 893-8527 or visiting us at 1161 East Ave., Chico. Finally, check or cash purchases may be made at AmericanWest Bank (1834 Mangrove Ave Suite 1, Chico) or Bidwell Insurance Agency (500 Wall St Suite B, Chico). Reserved tables of 8, 6 and 4 are available. Please use the “notes” section of the website or request at the time of purchase. Additional PiratePALOOZA information can be found online at www.chicopirate.com or www.actionctr.org

A great way to support the Disability Action Center is by becoming a sponsor for PiratePALOOZA 2015. All sponsorship levels include complimentary event tickets (please see the attached form). We are also accepting donations for our silent auction. Our goal is to provide maximum exposure and recognition for our sponsors. This year we are offering the opportunity to directly sponsor one of our performers or groups. Please feel free to call me at 530-680-3484 to discuss how we can promote you or your organization as a valued sponsor.

We have greatly appreciated your support over the years and look forward to seeing you again on May 8th.
